The ‘This Is It’ film and CD could make up to $400 million in sales as movie theatres around the world announce their highest ever advance sales.

The movie will open in more than ninety countries, including three-thousand four-hundred cinemas in the US alone.

Sony Pictures won the bidding war for the rights to the rehearsal footage featured in the film, paying in excess of $60 million according to court papers.

The two-disc CD could sell as many as 500,000 copies in the US alone.

Michael’s estate will receive 90% of the profits from the movie.
