Referral To District Attorney

TMZ say that they have law enforcement sources who have told them that the investigation into Michael’s death is almost complete and the results will be formally handed over the LA County District Attorney as early as next week. They were waiting for written medical evaluations from professionals who have reviewed the evidence. That evidence is now forthcoming. It is said they still consider Doctor Conrad Murray to be the sole target.

One source says that there is a ‘70/30 chance’ that the DA will take the case to the LA County Grand Jury, rather than charge Murray directly.

One source thinks that because of the complexity of the case, a Grand Jury Indictment would be easier to get and would avoid a preliminary hearing.
