After hearing the terrible news of Michael’s death, Elton John performed his iconic ‘Candle In The Wind’ dedicating it to “friends who can no longer be with us” at his White Tie and Tiara ball.

Elton was apparently stunned at the news, an several guests were so distressed they left early.

Elton also dedicated his song ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’ to Michael.
