Michael called Kenny Ortega, the brains behind the ‘High School Musical’ phenomenon, to tell him how much he admired his work. He has been friends with Kenny for many years, and worked with him on some of his choreography.

Contactmusic.com has reported Zac Efron’s response when Kenny handed him his phone so that he could speak to Michael: “I’ve been wanting to talk to Michael Jackson my whole life, but as soon as Kenny handed me the phone, I was at a loss for words. I have never been so speechless. He said he loves ‘High School Musical’. It was motivation for us, and encouragement.”
