The civil case being brought against Michael and The Marian Center by the family of Mrs Ruiz may now not go ahead.

The case involved the movement of Mrs Ruiz from her hospital room to accommodate Michael when he hurt his back during his trial.

Mrs Ruiz was very ill and died later the same day. Her family allege preferential treatment was given to Michael. They did not appear in court on Monday, and the hospital’s attorney says they have not secured legal representation.
