Over the years, Chris Cadman and Craig Halstead have created five music books, four of which have been about Michael. Their latest, Michael Jackson – For The Record has just been released. This book, which has taken them both almost three years to research and write, documents the many songs that Michael has been involved in over the years as a singer, writer, producer or simply that he has inspired and lists them numerically and alphabetically with the Michael connection and other interesting information.

The Early Years

The Solo Years

This book tells the story of Michael's solo career as accurately, honestly and comprehensively as possible, by focussing on his music. The book includes albums (with track listings), one-off singles and collaborations Michael has released in the USA and/or UK since October 1971, when his first solo single Got To Be There was issued in the States. The book also features a complete USA/UK chartography, top singles and albums, USA and UK million sellers, awards, movies and short films, USA discography, UK discography, and a fascinating listing of rarities from around the world.

Number Ones

The book features the Jackson family, which between them, have scored over 200 hits since November 1969, when the Jackson 5's I Want You Back entered Billboard's Hot 100 and R&B singles charts in the States.

I Want You Back went on to become the first Jackson no.1 - the first of 50 (and counting!).
